I graduated from the University of Richmond with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Art in Studio Art. I've also earned a Master's in Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine from the University of Southern California. I currently work at a biotech company in San Diego.
Though my life is largely consumed by science, I still enjoy doing art in my spare time (including science art, which can by found on my other website here: www.amandakwieragaart.com). I've been teaching myself how to draw in Photoshop and am continually trying to improve my skills. I'm a huge fan of almost anything fantasy and science fiction - both of which largely inspire my art and current portfolio.
I've recently started participating in Artist Alleys at various local cons, so if you're in the area, please stop by! I would love your feedback on my art and how I can continue to grow and improve in the future.
In summer of 2020 (while stuck inside due to the coronavirus pandemic), I launched my own science clothing brand - Carbon 14! This project has been something I've been wanted to do for a long time so, and I'm so excited that it has finally been realized! You can see the store at www.carbon14collections.com.
